The National Whippet Club of Canada has held an annual National Specialty Show since 1994; the first one being held in Calgary, Alberta. Our Specialty is held in a different Province each year so that club members and whippet fanciers from coast to coast can participate in this exciting event.

2024 JUDGE BIO

Molly Rule-Steele | Taejaan Whippets, Australia

My association with Sighthounds began in the mids 70s. My first show dog was an Afghan hound.
We bred some very successful Afghans during my early days of exhibiting. One dog in particular Grand Ch Taejaan The Flamingo Kid went on to win 70 Best In Shows.
I have owned and bred Afghans, Salukis and currently breed and show successfully Siberian Huskies. The whippets joined our family in the late 80s.
Our whippet journey has taken us to heights that we are extremely proud of. In total we have won 35 Whippet Specialty Best In Show awards, and countless All Breeds BIS awards, including winning BIS on 5 occasions at our prestigious Royal All Breeds shows with records entries.

I have had the privilege to judge at some of the most prestigious shows abroad. Thank you for the privilege to judge your National Specialty. Nothing compares to judging the breed so close to my heart.
